Why it costs less

Painting without the overhead.

Most painting companies build consultations, walkthroughs and other big markups into your price. We skip all of that. You tell us what needs paint, we show you what the job costs us, and we add 15% plus booking and payment fees. That's it.

You get the same vetted painters and the same quality standard as our full-service company, BLUE Painting. We just leave out the hand-holding.

Example: 2 bedrooms + bathroom
Our cost painters, paint & materials$1,307

Questions

Good to know

How can it cost less than a regular painting company?

There's no estimator visit, sales team or project manager on your job, and those are a big part of a normal quote. You see what the job costs us (painters, paint and materials), then we add 15% plus a booking and payment fee. Same BLUE painters, less overhead.

Is the price really final?

Once your photos check out, yes. Your locked price is good for 30 days. It only changes if the job turns out different from what you told us and showed us, like a bigger room or hidden damage. If that happens, we tell you before any extra work starts.

What's included in my price?

Two coats of Sherwin-Williams paint on everything you picked, all materials, covering floors and furniture, filling nail holes and small dings, daily cleanup, and a final walkthrough with your painter.

What isn't included?

Larger repairs like big cracks, water damage or large patches (we flag these and quote them separately), moving furniture and taking down wall hangings, choosing specific paint products, popcorn ceiling removal, and a warranty after the job. Need the full-service version? That's BLUE Painting.

How does payment work?

50% down to book. The rest is due after your final walkthrough, once you're happy.

When can you start, and how long does it take?

When you book, you pick a 2-week window that works for you. As it gets closer, we text you your exact start day. Most projects are done within 3 days.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

You can reschedule for free with at least 3 days' notice before your start day. If you cancel, we keep $250 of your deposit to cover payment and booking costs, and refund the rest.

What if I'm not happy with something?

Your painter walks the job with you at the end and does a round of touch-ups on anything you point out, before you pay the balance. To keep prices this low, there's no warranty after the job is done.

Where do you work?

The Twin Cities metro. Outside the area? You can still get a ballpark price.

More questions
Why do you need photos?

They let us confirm room sizes, ceiling heights and wall condition without sending someone to your house. That's how we lock your price in about a minute instead of days.

Who are the painters?

The same vetted crews BLUE Painting uses, each with 5+ years of experience and fully insured. BLUE has painted 3,000+ Twin Cities homes since 2014.

Can I pick my colors?

Yes, any color you like. Text your color names or codes to your advisor any time before your start day. We pick the Sherwin-Williams product based on the paint level you choose.

What's the difference between Budget and Signature?

Same painters, same prep. Budget uses contractor-grade Sherwin-Williams paint at our lowest price. Signature is the paint we use on our own jobs: richer color, better coverage and a finish that holds up longer.

Do I need to be home?

Just for the start and the final walkthrough. The rest of the time, a door code or lockbox works.

What do I need to do before you arrive?

Move small furniture and fragile items away from the walls, take down wall hangings and clear a path to each room. We cover and protect everything else.
